Genre: Romantic Suspense

Pimpernel by Sheralyn Pratt

Pimpernel by Sheralyn Pratt

Although I’m part of a book tour, I bought my own copy of Pimpernel. Leverage. Mission Impossible. Pimpernel. Yep. If you like those first two, you’re going to love Pimpernel! Although Pimpernel is marketed as a romantic suspense—and there is enough romance to make that an accurate description—I was so much more intrigued with the suspense part of the story. There were secret identities, twists and turns, cons within cons, with just a bit of romance. Pimpernel seriously reminded me of some of my favorite […]

The Obituary Society by Jessica L. Randall

The Obituary Society by Jessica L. Randall

Part mystery, part romance, part paranormal twists. This is definitely what I’d call a cozy mystery—there’s a mystery to be solved and Lila is an amateur. But it is also strong on romance, a woman finding her place in a new town, and there’s a bit of a paranormal aspect as well. Just the kind of book I love to read! What did I think? Oh. My. Gosh. All Fall Down by Julie Coulter Bellon

All Fall Down by Julie Coulter Bellon

My dear, dear friend, Julie Bellon, has a new book out! I love it when my dear, dear, dear friends have new books out and I can help them spread the word. Especially when they have such wondeful covers!* As some of you may remember, I reviewed All’s Fair when it came out in 2008. (You can read that review here and you really should because Julie really liked my interview with her.) I was supposed to review Ribbon of Darkness in 2011 but I […]

This Just In by Kerry Blair

This Just In by Kerry Blair

I’m embarrassed to admit how long this one has been sitting on my night stand. I got it from a clearance stack at a local regional bookstore (so you might have trouble finding a copy, unless you want to buy the ebook). When I did get to it, I just about broke a rib laughing so hard! Clay and Jill are such opposites—he a serious mountain man and loner; she a society, looks-are-everything newscaster. Told from Jill’s point of view, this story is hilariously funny […]

All’s Fair by Julie Coulter Bellon

All’s Fair by Julie Coulter Bellon

I love my friend, Julie Bellon. I really do. I met Julie when we lived in the same neighborhood, and really got to know her when she tended my youngest daughter, when I had to go back to work after my divorce. I absolutely trusted her with my child, and that’s saying a lot about what I think of Julie’s character. Julie and I have a lot in common. I’m from the U.S.; she’s Canadian. I have a respectable number of children (4); she has […]
